Discovering what love is one day at a time
Every once in a while, our lives provide opportunities to get stuck; emotionally, physically, spiritually, relationally, financially etc.etc… It is really easy to focus on the circumstances, and be captured by them. YET…we do not have to.
God calls us to walk with Him, and that’s like walking on water. Doesn’t matter which body of water you are currently floating on, sometimes it is an angry ocean, a calm serene bay, and sometimes it’s even a smelly swamp. There are times that you may feel like you got up on the wrong side of the swamp or you are in it…SO NOW WHAT?
Talk to the Lord about what’s going on inside of you and work it out with Him. The Scriptures challenge us to identify our emotions, and learn how to turn them into positive behaviors. As we do that, old things will surface and we have the opportunity to allow God to heal us and restore us.
Sometimes you just have to tell your soul to sing. Celebrate! It’s a new day! Let your soul sing praises unto the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His mercies are new every morning.
Choose to praise Him despite the fact that you may not feel like it.…for these circumstances need to be seen with His perspective.
Dance like nobody is watching! God is going to help you have the strength to walk over whichever body of water you happen to be sailing on. In the mean time, He will refresh you with His joy, His love and His perfect presence. Sing songs unto the Lord like a little kid sings about his/her day, dance with your heart abandoned unto Him. Rest in the healing of His wings as He comforts you in all of your needs.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years. We have two young men ages 18 and 13.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to keep a purposeful perspective on life as a whole.
