Discovering what love is one day at a time
How important it is to remind our kids of how wonderful they are; and that they do not have to go out in the world and try to fit in…but that they are to go out in the world and be. We were not created as clones, but were created as unique individuals to be creative, innovative, spectacular, passionate, and loving, …(to name a few) That the world isn’t a place to conquer and come out on top of…but a place to learn how to love, grow, and explore while serving each other. (Connecting, relating, learning from each other, giving and receiving)That winning is learning how to master managing ourselves, so that no heart is damaged in the process, and linking hearts and arms with others to do the same. Focus is everything. Circumstances have the potential to distract us enough that we choose to act in a manner unfitting to our identity. We need to guard our hearts, so that we will not lose focus. Yet in every circumstance is an opportunity to give thanks, because we have an opportunity to grow and be changed.
Train your child in the way that they should go, and they will not easily turn from it. You have not been given a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Being a parent is one of the most amazing jobs I have ever had, it is so rewarding, and so challenging at the same time. I love the fact that my kids are two of my instructors.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years. We have two boys ages 18 and 13.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to keep a purposeful perspective on life as a whole.
