Discovering what love is one day at a time
What are you looking at?... What is it that you are always thinking about?... What is the topic of most of your conversations?...
What are you awake to: aware of: acutely watchful of: responsive to: quickened by: moved by: where is your attention focused on: given to? Simply put…whatever it is, is an object of worship.
I do not want to be moved by circumstances, to be distracted by the masses. I do not want to be shaken by a kingdom that will not remain. I do not want to worship any thing or any one other than the King of Kings.
I want to be acutely aware of His presence, to be so watchful and awake, that I am alive to Him and Him alone. I want to be so focused on Him that any slight movement He makes would be felt or perceived as intensely as it would be as if He left. I want my heart to be so connected to His heart that, I would see as He sees, feel as He feels. I want singleness in my heart and mind and soul. One focus, HIS. I want my heart to be broken over the littlest things in my eyes, because in His, it is a big deal. If He did not think so, He would not have gone to the extent of the sacrifice that He did for us. He is the Defender of Love, the Destroyer of Sin, and the Giver of Life.
His love is mighty, and stronger than ours. He is the King of Unfailing Love. Praise the God of unfailing grace and mercy. He is worthy of all of our praise, and lives of worship. He conquered death so we might have life. Amazing grace; perfectly complete and pure everlasting love.
May the eyes of our hearts be opened to see, perceive, be awakened to, and be responsive to Him. May our desires be so directed and loyal to the only One that is worthy of it.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 25 years. We have two young men ages 22 and 16.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to keep a purposeful perspective on life as a whole.
