Discovering what love is one day at a time
Freely you have received…freely give.
The Lord continually challenges me in this…Where are you in this? Are you a YES or are you a NO?
Truly the question is not whether I like what is placed before me, but the question is …Will I surrender myself to God and obey His Word? If I say I love God, do I really want to willfully disobey Him and His Word?
If I say YES to obeying Him and His Word, then freely giving, is supposed to be voluntarily, cheerfully, willingly, readily. Even when it may seem inconvenient by my perceived schedule …or when it is uncomfortable to my flesh…and when I perceive or believe that I have no ability to do what He is asking.
We don’t have the ability to do what He asks of us. The only real ability we have is the free will choice to decide, to receive all that He has for us, and surrender it all back unto Him.
Truly the question is not whether I like what is placed before me, but the question is …Will I surrender myself to God and obey His Word?
His Word instructs us to freely give, because we have freely received. He freely gave…His life…on the Cross.
My answer is YES Lord. I surrender to You and Your Word. The what, who, why, when, where and how may follow…He has provided us with the wherewithal to complete everything He places before us. Our obedience should never be dependent on if we fully get the whole picture. Our obedience is a choice to take Him at His Word. His Holy Spirit will lead us.
Where are you in this…are you a Yes or a No?
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years. We have two young men ages 18 and 13.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to keep a purposeful perspective on life as a whole.
